ABOUT THE AUTHOR

faceDaniel Ganninger is the author of The Case Files of Icarus Investigations.  He is an avid fan of trivia, useless knowledge, and any other mundane facts about the world that may make him appear more interesting.  In addition to his rather feeble blog here, Daniel writes another blog that helps him in his quest to impart knowledge on others at Knowledge Stew.

Daniel works by day as a professional in the medical field and spends late nights trying to figure out how he can get his favorite characters out of their latest predicament.  He is a private pilot with a commercial license and an instrument rating but doesn’t get up in the air as much as he would like to.  He would like to have a kangaroo as a pet if he thought it was socially acceptable (and if he had the land to do it)

After growing up in Texas, Daniel enjoyed a ten year stint in California before returning to Texas to settle down. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where he received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Master of Education in Exercise Science.  He also received a Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and has been a licensed and practicing Physical Therapist for over 12 years.  He currently lives with his wife and two kids in the beautiful Central Texas area and Hill Country.

The 6th book of the Icarus Investigations series, Bitter Pill, was released in April 2016, and the 2nd volume of the Knowledge Stew Guide was released in May 2016. The next book in the Icarus series is set to be called Microwave, and volume 3 of the Knowledge Stew Guide will be releasing in early fall.

ABOUT THE BOOKS

The Case Files of Icarus Investigations follows the escapades of two new, unique private investigators and their team as they travel the globe to solve any case put before them.  If you’re in the mood for pure escapism reading, than this is your place (and your type of books).  The fun and humorous series will take you around the world on a different kind of mystery and adventure.

The books are classified as clean reading.  Nothing more than a PG movie would have in it.  You won’t be shocked by any lurid “adult situation” or descriptive and gruesome crime scene.  That’s not to say it isn’t exciting, or it’s not filled with a fair amount of gun play and mayhem.  There’s plenty of that.

To describe what the series is similar to is rather difficult.  The closest comparison would be that it’s a mix of Fletch, Starsky and Hutch, and a little James Bond.  You be the judge.  Either way, enjoy the shenanigans and fun.

*Snow Cone, Coconut Water, and Stolen Dough are part of the Red Hand mini-series.

Give your brain some exercise with The Knowledge Stew Guides.  Did you know about the time Elvis met secretly with Nixon? Or why the Great Lakes are so Great? Did you know about a fire from 1962 that has never stopped? Or why some countries drive on the left side of the road? These are just some of the questions, along with the answers, in Knowledge Stew: The Guide to the Most Interesting Facts in the World, Volume 1 and 2. The Guides are filled with things you might have forgotten, and hopefully things you never heard about. It can be enjoyed on a plane, a train, in a boat, or just in a nice, comfy chair.  Just sit back, grab a spoon, and help yourself to a heaping bowl of Knowledge Stew.

*The next Case File, Microwave, is coming soon, with a tentative release in the Fall of 2016.

I've been hearing a lot lately about some hi-jinx going on dealing with the Kindle Unlimited program at Amazon. The stories just illustrate that if there is money to be made, people will come up with any way they can to cheat the system.
